NEPTUN
Neptun is BME's academic platform. Click on the UK flag before logging in. It is important that you check Neptun regularly. You must register for the courses and you will get regular messages through this platform. The access details are sent to you in the same letter as the acceptance letter information.

Orientation
The ESN mentors of BME guide you during the Orientation Week / 3 – 6 February 2025.
The Erasmus Student Network is one of the biggest student associations in Europe.
IT Issues
If you experience any issues with university platforms, such as Microsoft 365 email, the eduID login process, or Wi-Fi, please check the availability of the relevant department.
LEARNING AGREEMENT (Applicable to Students from the EU)
First make sure that it is signed by your home university and you.
Make sure that all the subjects have a proper code.
Note that all subject codes start with BME.
There are two ways to have your LA signed by BME.
1. You can submit it in OLA if your uni is part of the Erasmus Without Papers program.
You will get the digital signature via OLA.
2. You can submit it in a “027 Request for a certificate” form via Neptun.
Type of certificate: “Erasmus+ Learning Agreement”.
You will get the certificate via Neptun.
We CANNOT sign the Learning Agreement in person during opening hours!
You can contact the faculty's Erasmus coordinator if you have any questions or doubts about the subjects.
Once the course registration period is over, you can add and drop courses using a “018 Request to register for subjects / to drop subjects” Neptun request.
If you submit the LA, and then there is a change in your Neptun courses, you must fill out Table A2 of the LA and go through the whole signing process again.
Make sure that by the end of the semester the subjects on your Learning Agreement matches the subjects in Neptun 100%.

COURSE REGISTRATON
You can (and must) register online from anywhere.
We recommend using a laptop or PC instead of your mobile phone.
We use the 0-24 time format in Hungary. This is important for deadlines.
Pre-course registration and drop-off period: 30 January, 18:00 (Hungarian time) - 2 February, 11:59 (Hungarian time)
Final course registration and drop-off period: 3 February, 18:00 (Hungarian time) - 16 February, 23:59 (Hungarian time)
There will be a short break between the two periods during which you will not be able to enrol/drop subjects. Do not worry, just wait patiently for the start of the second period.

Add and Drop Courses During the Semester
Once the course registration period is over, you can add and drop courses using a “018 Request to register for subjects / to drop subjects” Neptun request.
Submitting the request does not guarantee that the faculty will accept it, especially after the first few weeks of the semester.
The faculty has the right to charge the late add or drop of a subject. The fee is 5.500 HUF per course, not per subject. One subject can have one, two or sometimes three courses.
ARRIVAL CERTIFICATE
There are two ways to get this document.
a) Submit a “027 Request for a certificate” through Neptun.
Type of certificate: Erasmus arrival certificate
You can attach the form of your home university or we will give you our form if there is no attachment.
You will get the certificate via Neptun.
b) Visit us in person in the office hours and we sign the document you bring or give you our form.
The date of your arrival is the date of your personal enrolment.
TEMPORARY STUDENT ID
As an exchange student you cannot get an actual student card, but we can give you a temporary student ID that is valid for 60 days.
You must ask for a new one no earlier than 10 days before your current student ID certificate expires.
Submit a “066 Request for student ID certificate” form through Neptun.
The submission opens on 10 February.
You will get a Neptun notification when the document is ready, possibly within a week of submission.
You visit us in the office hours and we give you the paper.
IMPORTANT: You can use a student pass on the public transport only with a valid student ID certificate!
Nothing else is accepted by the public transport company and the fine is very high if you use the services without a valid student ID certificate. Be careful!
